Grants
The Blackie Foundation Trust aims to advance the study of, and education into the science of homeopathy by providing research grants and financial assistance to health care professionals.

Applications to The Blackie Foundation Trust undergo a rigorous peer review process and we aim to fund only those projects which meet our high standards. As projects progress, grantees are required to provide regular and detailed reports and results of all trials, whether negative or positive, are expected to be published.

The Blackie Foundation Trust’s research programme is recognised by its membership of the Association of Medical Research Charities. The Trust offers two types of grants, the Research Grant and the Training Bursary.

How to Apply

Research Grants
To apply for a research grant from The Blackie Foundation Trust, you must be a medically qualified health professional or have an appropriate relevant qualification, preferably based in a reputable research institution, although applications are accepted from individuals.

All applicants must fill in an initial application form. These can be returned by email at any time. The initial application will be assessed and if the research is considered relevant to the scientific understanding of the principles and practice of homeopathy and conforms to the current research strategy of The Blackie Foundation Trust, the applicant will be invited to submit a full Grant Application Form.

Full applications will not be accepted without following the initial application form process and the Trust is unable to enter into correspondence over the outcome of the initial application.

After an initial application form is approved applicants must fill in a Grant Application Form.

Grant applications are considered on a twice-yearly basis. Deadlines for these are 20th March, 5 pm; and 20th October, 5 pm. Applications should be emailed to trust.administrator@blackieft.org and hard copies will be requested at a later date.

Training Bursaries
To apply for a training bursary, you must be a statutorily registered health care professional with qualifications recognised in the UK. The training course must be approved by The Blackie Foundation Trust.

Applicants must fill in a Training Bursary application form (form to follow, please contact BFT directly) and these should be emailed to trust.administrator@blackieft.org.

Applications for Training Bursaries are accepted at any time and are awarded on a retrospective basis: that is, once the course is completed, or - for courses longer than a year - on a yearly basis.
